What genuine shot or shooter would use a crossbow against any quarry?? I have a composite crossbow in the loft and never used it on live quarry "its illegal besides being an inefficient way of killing!!"

Bow hunting is really popular in the US.

I remember visiting a hunting store there and the bow hunting section was massive.

I think it’s not a great way of hunting, massive risks of maiming the quarry and causing a long slow painful death.

shooting carrys the same risk mate.i hold my hands up(MANY WONT!) but ive hit foxes etc and they have run on.although ive searched,they have gone.its not the name of the game BUT it happens.

I personally wouldnt entertain the thought of using a bow for hunting. As a sportsman - I go for a humane kill every thime, as we all should.

neither would i use a bow to hunt.ive been shooting for around 20 odd years and id put money on it wether its with a shotgun or rifle of some callibre,there isnt many that will hold their hands up and admit they have shot something that has run on.

Just like some Amazonian indians do and some other tribes. Have no problem with the Bow or Crossbow.
